ADO Den Haag signs
ADO Den Haag, one of the revelations of last season in the Dutch competition, joins forces with TopSportsLab. TopSportsLab will optimise the operation of the medical staff and the communication with the technical staff.
The players of ADO Den Haag will undergo a specialized screening by MobileLab to discover strengths and weaknesses. Based on the screening Jurgen Seegers and Edwin Coret, physical coach and physiotherapist respectively, will be able to create individual programs for the players to optimize performances and prevent injuries.
FC Twente signs
FC Twente, vice-champion and Cup winner in the Netherlands, decided to work with TopSportsLab. In recent years, FC Twente has become one of the top teams in the Dutch competition. To stay at the top and keep on growing, FC Twente will continue to professionalize. Therefore, Jan Kluitenberg and Rob Ouderland, physical coach and Manager Medical Affairs respectively, insisted on implementing TopSportsLab in the entire club.
The first team will work intensely with the entire web-application and a MobileLab screening will follow soon. TopSportsLab has to support the performance management and injury prevention. Also all youth and female teams will use TopSportsLab in order to improve communication in a first stage. Later on, performance management and injury prevention will be key in the development of the talented youth players.
Technical screening for Nike sales
Sales representatives of different sports stores gathered in Leuven for a football technics screening. In cooperation with Nike, TopSportsLab created a battery of tests to fit the different Nike football shoes (CTR360, Mercurial, Tiempo, T90). Two tests for each shoe emphasized the strong features of each shoe. The sales representatives experienced each shoe. This should help the sales representatives to direct customers to the shoe which fits their playing characteristics.
Football education
After the national youth teams of the KBVB, TopSportsLab now also supports the Topsport Schools Football. This project should help communication between clubs, national teams and football education in Topsport Schools. Through the TopSportsLab platform test results can be shared and screenings can be better coordinated. It allows coaches and trainers to follow up closely training load of the young players. This will help to prevent overtraining and fatigue-induced injuries in the talented Belgian youth players.
TopSportsLab supports Belgian elite football referees
MobileLab screened the referees of the first division in Belgium at the start of the season. A mixture of anthropometric, endurance, speed and strength tests provided every referee with an individual profile with his strengths and weaknesses.
The referees started already to eliminate their weaknesses and even improve their strengths under the watchful eye of fitness coach Werner Helsen. A follow-up screening will follow shortly.
Meanwhile TopSportsLab takes care of the daily follow up of the referees. Individual and group training sessions are gathered in TopSportLab to provide coach and referee with a detailed view of the referee’s training load. Every training and match detail is tracked to give a close look on the referee’s fitness.

Belgian hockey team qualifies for London
The Belgian men’s hockey team the Red Lions has qualified for the semi-finals of the European hockey championships. This in turn means that our boys will be flying the flag for Belgium at next year’s Olympic Games in the British capital London.
The Red Lions were trailing 0-2 against the Spaniards, but were able to turn things around to win their third group stage match 3-2.
Belgium will play the Netherlands in the semi-final.
AZ Alkmaar extends
AZ Alkmaar was tested the 30th of Juni.
AZ finished 4th and qualified for the Europa League.
After the succesful collaboration, AZ chooses to extend their contract with TopSportsLab to support them with performance management and injury prevention.

Roda JC signs
Last week was filled with some dutch test screenings.
Roda JC’s first team was tested the 29th of June. This screening launched the collaboration of Harm Van Veldhovens team and TopSportsLab.
Roda finished 6th last year and yet again, the team contains several Belgian players. (Bart Biemans, Davy De Beule, Laurent Delorge, Jimmy Hempte, Martijn Monteyne and Kenneth Staelens)
TopSportsLab will support their technical and medical staff with performance management and injury prevention. The medical staff will communicate through the medical module.
